Jennifer Rivett Schick is a member of the Trust and Estate Practice Group. Jen works closely with individuals and families to ensure that wealth is transferred in a way that meets client’s overall needs, addresses any special familial concerns and minimizes any estate tax exposure. She advises individuals and families of all wealth levels on estate planning options and drafts comprehensive estate plans, including the preparation of wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, and powers of attorney.
Jen assists individuals seeking to transfer wealth during their lifetimes by utilizing options such as annual gifts, charitable remainder trusts or grantor retained annuity trusts. Jen has represented business owners in general corporate matters, including formation, governance, dissolution and has counseled owners in developing and establishing business succession plans to transfer ownership to the next generation in a way that complements the individual owner's business goals and their estate plan.
Jen also advises fiduciaries in the administration of probate estates and trusts, including estate tax matters, fiduciary tax matters, and fiduciary accountings.
As a member of the Trust and Estate Practice Group and Probate Litigation Group, Jen also advises individuals and fiduciaries in routine and contested probate court matters, trust and estate administration matters, guardianships and adoptions.
